NEOVITA Sustainability Strategy


Holistic thinking and sustainable action are not a trend for NEOVITA, but have been a ‘green thread’ running through our company history since it was founded in 1967.

We want to help people to be the most beautiful version of themselves. With a sustainable, resource-conserving corporate philosophy and efficient products for healthy, beautiful skin and a better future for our society. 

With the NEOVITA sustainability cycle, we highlight our 5 core areas that we work on with dedication every day:
  • RESPONSIBILITY
  • We set ourselves high goals, take responsibility and work every day for a better and healthier world
  • Made in Germany - from research and development to the finished product ready for despatch. The entire production process is carried out in-house at Mauer in Heidelberg. We deliberately avoid outsourcing and cheaper production abroad
  • We do not sell online.
  • This conscious decision strengthens our cosmetics institutes, actively saves packaging waste and ensures compliance with our deposit system
  • Our company headquarters are located directly at the railway station, allowing our employees to travel by train or bicycle in an environmentally friendly way (well-developed cycle paths are also available)

 

  • REDUCE
  • We completely avoid ingredients that are not necessary for skin care, e.g. preservatives, fillers and colourings
  • Our precious natural ingredients come almost exclusively from organic cultivation or wild collections
  • We pay attention to short transport routes and source almost all of the raw materials we use from the EU
  • Avoiding waste has been one of our most important goals since the company was founded. Already in the 1970s, our professional hair products were offered in previously unusual bulk packaging

 

  • REFINE
  • We are constantly working on optimising our production processes in order to keep energy consumption as low as possible
  • In the production process, we work with a special hot-cold and cold-cold technology for emulsions. This eliminates the need for multiple heating and cooling, which saves a large amount of energy
  • Since 2023, we have been covering up to 2/3 of our energy requirements on an area of 500 m² with our in-house 63kWP photovoltaic system

 

  • REBUILD
  • We support and promote the preservation and restoration of our ecosystems
  • In our own forest, we ensure reforestation and preservation of the habitat for numerous creatures
  • Our aim is to further expand our activities in this area

 

  • REUSE
  • We actively support the recycling of our products
  • Thanks to the unique NEOVITA deposit system, our products have been returned to us for over 30 years. All components of the mousse containers are separated, recycled and used to make new products. This makes a sustainable contribution to waste avoidance
  • The increased environmental awareness of our customers led to 100% of the mousse containers issued being returned to NEOVITA for the first time in 2023
